Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai has announced that Dubai is looking at energy conservation and solar and wind schemes to help meet its electricity needs. He said that around 14% of peak electricity needs could be saved by 2015 through a demand management programme.
