Today, more than 40 companies, from Cleantech startups to large energy multinationals, operate under Enpark’s licenses. Besides providing a full range of flexible real estate product, Enpark also strives to provide its business partners with a platform to facilitate industry and regulatory collaboration, identify business opportunities and share their experience of regional operations, products and services with industry peers.
Enpark's business development opportunities are organized at two levels, one with the other companies in TECOM Business Park, and the other dedicated for Enpark Business Partners. Both aim to help companies to quickly establish relations with the local business community. Below are some examples of recent business development activities and events.
Business Development activities at TECOM Business Park level
This event provides the ideal environment for owners of small and medium enterprises to upgrade business management skills and widen contacts within their specific business segment for greater synergy.
The TECOM SME Builder is a Tri annual workshops that form an integral part of TECOM SME Builder activities provide cutting-edge solutions to crucial issues faced by Small to Medium Business owners by leading industry experts and specialists. In addition to SME owners, membership to TECOM SME Builder is even open to those who are considering the prospect of launching their own business and tap into the large knowledge repository resident within the membership. Prospective business owners also stand to gain considerable information through interaction with peers from the industry sectors that they are targeting.

The TECOM CEO Network is the first of a series of initiatives organized by TECOM to serve over 4,500 companies based in TECOM Business Parks that span multiple industries including information and communication technology (ICT), media, education, life sciences and manufacturing & logistics and clean technology. The initiative complements TECOM’s value-added services to business partners that distinguish it from other free zones in the region.
The event is an influential gathering of CEOs and Proprietors of companies based in TECOM Business Parks. Besides facilitating networking among key decision makers, the event will also serve as a platform for exploring new business opportunities and emerging synergies.
Business Development activities at Enpark level
Since 2010, Enpark has organized a series of industry educational seminars on key energy and environmental issue facing the region. So far, 4 topics have been discussed - “Energy Efficiency’, ‘Green Retrofitting’ and ‘Water and Wastewater Management’ and “Solid Waste Recycling and Management”.
All seminars featured 4-5 presentations by local industry experts and open debates to help raise awareness of new energy and environment-related technologies as well as solutions available in the regional market. The events drew enthusiastic participation from the local building industry and business communities.

As part of strengthening its ties with local industries, Enpark launched a series of Knowledge Link visits to leading companies in the local Cleantech and environment sectors in 2010. Knowledge Link visit not only helps Enpark to understand how the local industry operates, but also identifies new growth opportunities for Enpark in parallel with the local industry.
So far the team has visited the Union Paper Mill and the Emirates Glass factory. A few interest collaboration opportunities have been identified during these visits.
